About Shin Sei Kan

Shihan Peter James has been involved in martial arts for over 45 years and has a passion for edged weapons. Shihan combined his knowledge into a style he named Shin Sei Kan (true or pure style), which contains a blend of techniques from a number of styles he has trained in.

Students learn the discipline, focus, and respect that comes with handling traditional Japanese edged weapons — from foundational stances and cuts to advanced kata and sparring drills.
