Ladies Self-Defence Workshop

Knowing how to protect yourself — and the confidence that comes with that knowledge — can make a profound difference in your daily life. Our Ladies Self-Defence Workshops are designed specifically for women, in a friendly, judgement-free atmosphere where you can learn at your own pace.
No previous martial arts experience is required. Just bring comfortable clothing you can move in, an open mind, and a willingness to learn. All techniques are taught in a controlled, supportive environment by experienced instructors who specialise in working with first-time students.
What You'll Learn
- Awareness & avoidance — how to spot trouble before it starts and de-escalate where possible.
- Basic strikes — effective punches, palm-heel strikes, elbows and knees that work for any size or strength.
- Escapes — how to break free from wrist grabs, bear hugs, hair grabs and chokes.
- Ground defence — what to do if you're knocked down, and how to get back up safely.
- Voice & assertiveness — using body language and verbal tools as a first line of defence.
Workshop Format
Each workshop runs for approximately 90 minutes — long enough to cover the essentials, short enough that you'll leave energised rather than exhausted. We keep the groups small so every participant gets personal attention. Workshops can be booked privately for groups of 5 or more, making them perfect for:
